Lake Okeechobee Bowfishing is quickly becoming one of the fastest growing outdoor archery activities. Bowfishing Lake Okeechobee is also a proven method of reducing the population of invasive species in our waters.
Bowfishing trips are done on Lake Okeechobee off a customized pontoon boat with a raised shooting deck surrounded by high pressure sodium lights. There is also a spotters tower to get a better view. You can expect to shoot mainly tilipia and gar with opportunities at other species of fish.
—Bowfishing trips are available year round, however the best months are February through August, on full moons.
— Rates are $350 for 4 hours of fishing and up to 3 people. A fourth person and additional hours can be added for $50 each. If you are a single person wanting to take the trip a discounted price of $300 is available.
— A florida fresh water fishing license is required. For Florida residents these licenses run $17 for a year and for non-residents $17 for 3 days. You can obtain them online or by phone.
-Bowfishing bows, arrows, and all supplies needed to shoot fish -Ice and cooler for fish on boat. Hunters will need to bring their own cooler if they wish to take their fish home. (Tilapia are good eating!)
